I was this close to just making the 4th panel’s dialogue a chain of very un-Beeserker-like profanities. Years later, I will regret not doing so.
Pardon the lateness of today’s comic. I spent a good chunk of today figuring out HaxeFlixel, taking a very unsuccessful bath, and going to a Kentucky Derby party. I don’t know much about nor care much about horse racing, but it was an opportunity to wear one of my many weird hats. Plus, they had horse-shaped Rice Crispies treats there.
Well, an opportunity to wear a nifty hat AND have fancy-shaped rice crispy treats really cannot be passed up.
And you may regret skipping the profanities, but the fourth panel you used is also pretty great. The line is oft-used as a punchline, but, I think really because it’s always good. Especially so with a glare like that, and that pause before the hatred sets in.
Indeed – if this strip wasn’t already so late, I probably would’ve stretched that out to a double-size strip with 5 beat panels there.
You could always add an alt-panel… or post it on Tumblr
Yeah what the1truesushiboy said. The guy who makes Brawl in the Family is always posting alternate endings of his strips in the description/news area or whatever that part below the comic is called.
instead of obscenities you could make it a bunch of esoteric sun terms
I WILL WEAR YOUR CORONA AS A HAT, YOUR ABSOLUTE MAGNITUDE IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE A HELIOPAUSE WHEN I’M DONE BLUESHIFTING YOUR FACULAE
No, then the BeeThing would just be stooping to the sun’s level. He may be a horrible pandimensional entity, but he’s better than that.
When bad people die, the sun from this comic is waiting for them.
…That planet is small. We can see the star of blob-i-ness from the sun…. So we’ve got one side of the planet with picnic spot, one side with the beeserker’s lab, one side with the apiary, and we can presume there is at least on other side with HLC’s home. that leaves 2 sides completely unknown.
As I said in my Facebook post about this strip, that star isn’t to scale. If he had any of his chunks with him, I’d’ve probably made him turn one into a magnifying glass or something.
Ah, don’t really use facebook so didn’t see it. I’ll write it off as some sort of amplification of unspecified-blue-science-magic through the atmosphere.
Earth’s looking pretty hip.
That face in the third panel haunts me.
No, not the sun’s face.
The SUN is next.
Consider that the last epic battle of Beeserker.
