Bee Our Guest (There, Happy?)

I’m going to MAGFest next month, so I’ll be far too busy making Colossus noises to update the comic. I still have a few guest comics saved up from the last time I asked for them, but I could always use more!

If you’re interested in helping me out, the guidelines are the same as last time – strips must be 900 pixels wide, but any height (trust me, I got a great one coming up that’s REALLY tall), use any colors you want (my palette is here), and try to keep them somewhat SFW. Send them to kyattsuai ~at~ gmail ~dot~ com by January 1st.

Flying Trigona Print

Looking for Beeserker merch that ISN’T made of wood? I might be able to help, as long as you don’t point out that paper is actually highly processed wood.

Anyway, Hiveworks, the webcomic network I’m affiliated with, recently opened the Hivemill, an online store that sells webcomic-based prints and such. One of these prints was made by me, and features Trigona and her flamethrower, the Ursinerator, which apparently doubles as a hoverboard. Click here to check it out!

Go visit the store, and get a good chunk of your webcomic holiday shopping done in one convenient place!

P.S.: You have less than a week to get some Scootsie coasters at low, low introductory prices; they go up on December 1st.

Fine Mahogany Scootsie Coasters (Update)

If you’ve been following Beeserker’s Facebook page (which is now almost 400 likes strong), you’d know that I’ve been carving cats into wood recently, including the one on this coaster, on which I’m currently placing a coffee cup.

Scootsie coaster!

If you’re interested in owning a coaster of your own, good news! You can buy one here! One or several of them would make a great holiday present, right?

Ghosts and Guests

My constant asking for guest comics has been answered, and I now have approximately eight of them. Four of them will be posted during the week of November 1, hereby known as Beeserker Guest Week Part I: The Week The Thursday Updates Came Back. The other four will be saved for later in the year – probably during holiday season.

Anyway, I’m going to be using this week off to better myself as a person. If you’ll recall, I was part of a team that made Beeserker: The Videogame a month or so ago. I did all of the art, and some of the dialogue, but didn’t code a line of it. Recently, I started to learn how to use Flixel, the platform we built BTV on, and as an exercise, I am seeing if I can recreate parts of the game myself. I even added a new enemy, who you might recognize from a recent Beeserker strip. Because today’s Halloween, it’s only appropriate that I share a demo of it with you!

Be Our Guest (Comic)

Fellow webcomickers and other artistic sorts of people – have you ever read Beeserker and thought to yourself “Hey, it sure would be fun to draw a sequence of pictures of these characters accompanied by text!”? I hope that your answer was “yes”, because I am currently looking for Beeserker guest strips to post at a later, busier date. Just a few guidelines:

  • Strips must be 900 pixels wide, but the height is up to you.
  • All colors are allowed, not just the 11 I always use (though if you want to use them, here they are).
  • Do try to keep the strips somewhat work-safe (ie: no f-bombs or suddenly making the Sciencemen anatomically correct).

Send your guest comics to kyattsuai ~at~ gmail ~dot~ com, along with whatever name you’d like me to credit you as and a link to your comic or site or whatever. The deadline is October 24th – three weeks from today.
