As you may have noticed, Beeserker updates have been constantly late. Working full time has left me with significantly less time to do much else. I haven’t worked on any of my games for months, and I barely post drawings on Tumblr any more, but I told myself that at the very least, I’d continue to update this comic – I don’t know if it was pride, compulsion (I DID post drawings on that blog every day for five straight years), worrying about letting you fans down, or the voice in the back of my head reminding me that this was the last bastion of my creative side. Probably all of the above. For the most part, I’ve been able to update this comic at least twice a week for the last six years, and I thought I could still do that with the same “I’ll draw it the night before” attitude, even with another 45+ hours missing from each week, but it just isn’t working. Coming home from work and knowing that a large chunk of that evening will have to be devoted to this comic isn’t working for me. I’m stressed out constantly and my wrists hurt. I don’t plan on ending Beeserker any time soon, but it’s become clear to me that I can’t keep doing whatever the hell it is I’m doing now.

That being said, I’m going to take the rest of the month to reflect, do some of the things I haven’t been able to do so much recently, and maybe even build a strip queue to take some of the pressure off (I do have most of Chapter 12 planned out in my head, and it’s going to be amazing). Sorry about this, but hopefully come March, I’ll find what I need to find in myself in order to keep from having to apologize to all of you so often.

P.S.: I’m going to be at MAGFest next week. If you’re going to be there, keep an eye out for a Team Flare grunt with a checkered 3DS.

P.P.S.: Cut/Sew, the pattern making company I did those illustrations for, has broken the $1000 mark in their IndieGoGo campaign, but they still have a long way to go, and not much time to get there. Please contribute or link it to your friends/family who are either into sewing or are obscenely wealthy.
